I would like to introduce my home-based neurological and vestibular rehabilitation practice – Mindset Neurological Physiotherapy. Mindset is founded on the background of 20 years of clinical neurological experience and a passion for achieving the best possible outcomes for my clients.
I have spent the majority of my career working as a Senior Physiotherapist in large teaching hospitals both in the United Kingdom and in Australia. I have 20 years of clinical experience in the stroke/neurosciences arena ranging from acute stroke/neurology, inpatient rehabilitation, outpatient rehabilitation, early supported discharge home-based rehabilitation, vestibular rehabilitation plus extensive experience in traumatic brain injury as well as in the rehabilitation of clients with spinal injuries. I also have 6 years of knowledge and experience providing neurological rehabilitation in a home-based setting to clients in the Perth metropolitan area.
Mindset Neurological Physiotherapy will provide tailored, comprehensive and goal based neurological and vestibular rehabilitation. This will be accomplished in the enriched context of a client’s home setting, immediate surroundings and greater community as required. I believe rehabilitation in this context allows clients to realise the true potential of their abilities. I sincerely welcome the opportunity to work with you in achieving your goals.
My quaifications include:
- Bachelor of Science from the University of Texas, USA
- Bachelor of Science with Honours in Physiotherapy from the Robert Gordon University, Scotland
- Master in Health Science with Distinction from the University of Newcastle, Australia; Stroke Management Specialisation.
- Vestibular training; Susan Herdman Vestibular course
